Prototyping services and custom parts production

Modern industry needs a huge number of metal parts for various mechanisms and units every day. The most common way to give a workpiece a certain shape and size is considered a method of machining. The process technology is complex and requires special equipment. In general: the creation of a new part is under the influence of various tools with which the workpiece is cut layers of metal until it reaches the desired dimensions. Currently, there are several types of mechanical processing of metals, the choice of the method of exposure depends on the characteristics of used materials and type of manufactured part.

The main types of machining can be referred to:

  • milling;
  • turning;
  • drilling;
  • boring.

At influence on a metal surface the milling cutter representing a gear wheel – a cutter with set of blades, layers of metal are removed in a certain place. The cutter can be positioned vertically, horizontally or at an angle relative to the workpiece, as well as to perform counter or side movements, depending on the processing requirements.

Metal precision involves a combination of rotational movements of the fixed workpiece and the progressive movement of the pick. On a lathe it is possible to work with parts of any configuration, there are many other technological operations available.

Drilling of holes of different diameters and configurations is carried out with the help of a drill, making the rotational motion relative to the workpiece. When working with different types of metals, different modes of machine operation are chosen, as well as the drill of a certain degree of hardness.

Grinding is usually considered the final operation of the workpiece. The process of finishing and improving the surface structure of the workpiece allows to give it a smooth appearance, level the cutting lines and smooth out too sharp edges. Grinding is performed with the help of special wheels with abrasive coating.

High-quality work on metal is possible only on professional equipment. Companies specializing in machining of metal products provide customers with the following services and benefits:

  • creation of metal parts in ideal sizes and shapes;
  • machining of products with hard-to-reach surfaces;
  • any operations on mechanical processing of metal;
  • creation of parts based on sketches and drawings of the customer;
  • timely execution of any, even the most complex orders.
